The Weekend diet is a diet where you eat healthy during one part of the week and less healthy during another part of the week. The diet describes two strategies to do this.

The first strategy is also called the 80/20 rule. The idea is that, during the week, you eat healthy and do enough sports. In the weekend you are allowed to eat unhealthy food products. You use the 80/20 rule here.
The 80/20 rule means that 80% of the time (during the week and part of the weekend) you eat healthy. The idea behind this, is that making healthy choices a 100% of the time is not feasible. The proposition is that 80% is enough.
The advice with this strategy is to exercise at least half an hour a day, for example by walking or cycling for half an hour.
The second strategy seems to be aimed at people who have little time during the week. The idea is that you use the time you have during the weekend to prepare for the busy (working) part of the week. You do this by preparing healthy meals that you can pack/freeze and consume during the week.

The spare time in the weekend should also be used to exercise. The advice here is not to work out too fanatically and spontaneously to avoid injuries and other physical problems.
