Be aware: this is only the goal of this diet, not necessarily its outcome. Results vary from person to person. Consult your doctor or dietician before starting this (or any other) diet.
The 'My Lifestyle' diet was created by Natascha van der Stelt and drawn up in cooperation with Modifast. The diet is a low-carb and protein-rich diet.
On the homepage you can compare this diet with other diets.
The book recommends following Modifast methods. These methods use meal replacements (e.g. shakes and bars) to lose weight.
The Modifast Intensive method is mentioned as an example. To be precise: the 500-calorie variant of the Modifast Intensive method. This method has three phases (A, B and C) which are briefly described below. Read more about this and other Modifast methods here.

During this first phase of the method, you eat 3 meal replacements a day with a total calorie count of 500 calories. The book and Modifast recommend that you do this for a maximum of 3 weeks.
The second phase lasts 2 weeks. During this phase you reduce the number of Modifast meal replacements you consume. Here, your intake is between 700 and 1200 calories a day. The first week you eat 2 meal replacements a day, the second week only 1. Besides the meal replacements you eat light (and healthy) meals.
In the last phase you eat between 1500 and 2000 calories a day. In this phase you do not use any Modifast meal replacements anymore.
When you follow the lifestyle diet, you eat six times a day. Besides breakfast, lunch and dinner you have three snacks: one between breakfast and lunch, one between lunch and dinner and one snack in the evening.
The book recommends the ‘5-minute rule': if you are hungry, first wait 5 minutes. If you are still hungry after that, you are allowed to eat something.
