Slimfast is a brand of the American company SlimFast, under which several diet products are sold. These products also come with a diet: the SlimFast diet.
SlimFast also sells products that can be used with other diets, including the Keto diet.

When you follow the SlimFast diet, you eat six times a day: three meals and three snacks. Two of the meals are replaced with SlimFast products. The third meal you make yourself. Whether this meal is breakfast, lunch or dinner is up to you. This may also vary from day to day.
SlimFast recommends that the 'regular' (healthy) meal you make yourself should consist of vegetables, wholegrain products and proteins. It is also important that the meal does not contain too many calories as you can only eat about 1200-1400 calories a day on this diet.
You are allowed three snacks a day and you consume these between the meals. You can choose between fruit, yoghurt or a SlimFast snack. The snacks should be around 100 calories each.
SlimFast products are available in stores or online, depending on the country. The products range from ready-to-eat drink meals to bars, snacks, soups, pasta and shakes.
SlimFast recommends avoiding sugary drinks. It is also recommended to drink enough water.
SlimFast advises you to exercise at least 30 minutes per day.
If you have lost weight after following this diet and want to maintain this new weight, the idea is that you continue to replace one meal a day with a SlimFast product. The other meals can be ‘regular’ meals as before.
The SlimFast brand has several product lines. Besides SlimFast Original there are SlimFast Advanced Nutrition, SlimFast Advanced Energy, SlimFast Diabetic Weight Loss Formula and SlimFast keto. SlimFast keto is the newest line of SlimFast. This line contains low-carbohydrate products to fit the Keto diet.
