Goal: to lose weight

Be aware: this is only the goal of this diet, not necessarily its outcome. Results vary from person to person. Consult your doctor or dietician before starting this (or any other) diet.

The NewFysic method

NewFysic is presented as a method to lose weight. The method includes personal guidance, a diet plan and taking supplements. These supplements are mainly amino acid supplements.

While following the diet, you focus on changing your eating pattern without having to follow (too) many rules.

On the homepage you can compare NewFysic with different diets.

Personal coaching - online or face-to-face

Personal guidance (or 'coaching') is part of the NewFysic method and is done every week. You can choose between online counseling or at one of the physical locations. You weigh yourself every week and discuss the results with the coach.

Diet plan and recipes

The diet plan is drawn up by your coach and is based on your BMI, fat percentage and lifestyle, among other things. Additionally, your target weight will be taken into account.

Besides the diet plan, there are several recipes available on the NewFysic website.

NewFysic Recipes

On the NewFysic website you will also find many different recipes. The recipes are low in carbohydrates, avoid the use of sugar and contain protein-rich products (such as chicken or turkey).

Supplements - amino acids, proteins, fibre and psyllium

While following the NewFysic diet, you are supposed to take supplements. These supplements contain amino acids, proteins, fibres and psyllium. You also take multivitamins and drink a detox drink called ‘Purify'.

Once your goal weight has been reached, the supplements are phased out.

The back-on-track programme

If you completed the NewFysic trajectory more than 3 months ago, you can follow the back-on-track programme. Here you will again receive support from a coach and a new diet plan.

Subscriptions or weekly treatments

At NewFysic you can choose a subscription (1 month, 3 months or 6 months) or individual weekly treatments.

Comparable diets

Examples of other diets that work with coaches are the Optavia diet and the Alizonne diet.

I have several clients who have followed this diet. What I hear from them is that he nutrition plan is quite one-sided. Besides, I wonder what is the point of all the supplements (like the amino acids and the detox drink) except that it undoubtedly costs a lot of money. You're better off eating more varied and whole foods, then you need less supplementation from tablets, and you can still lose weight, even permanently.
