Be aware: this is only the goal of this diet, not necessarily its outcome. Results vary from person to person. Consult your doctor or dietician before starting this (or any other) diet.
The FormaFast diet aims to help you lose weight with meal replacements. You can buy these meal replacements in boxes which belong to one of three programs: a 10-day program, a 14-day program and a 3-months program.
During the diet you mainly eat the meal replacements from the box. Sometimes you will use self-purchased products as well.
On the homepage you can compare this diet with other diets.

The idea of the FormaFast diet is that you lose weight because you limit your calories intake. Read more about calories here. Depending on the programme you follow, you will consume 500 to 2000 calories a day.
As mentioned before, the meal replacements come in three different boxes that belong to one of the three different programmes. These boxes are the X-treme box, the F-active box and the Balance box.
The three programmes together last 3 months and 24 days. The first programme lasts for 10 days, the second for 14 days and the last programme takes 3 months. You can follow all three programmes in a row, but they can also be followed separately.
This programme lasts 10 days and uses the X-treme box. The box contains meal replacements for all 10 days and have a total of 500-800 calories a day. The programme is aimed at losing a lot of weight in a short period of time by eating and drinking (very) few calories.
The X-treme box contains 10 breakfast bags. Examples are oatmeal, muesli, a smoothie and a shake. The box also contains 10 lunch bags, 10 meal bags and 10 snacks. Here you can think of shakes, chilli, soups and spaghetti. The snacks are all bars.
In addition to the edible products, the box contains a shake cup for the (milk) shakes as well.
The F-active box (or Form-active box) belongs to the second programme and contains meal replacements for 14 days. The meals contain a total of 800-1400 calories per day.
The F-active programme uses the 'A/B weekend method'. During the week you have 2 hard days and 3 easier days. The hard days are the 'A' (slimming extreme) days. The easier days are the 'B' (balance) days. You alternate the A and B days: on Monday you start with a B day, Tuesday an A day, Wednesday another B day, and so on.

In the weekend, you pick your own meals. This does not mean that you can eat anything: you can choose from the products that you eat on a B day. These include vegetables, meats, fish, wholemeal bread, low-fat yoghurt, fruits, salad and soup.
The box contains 7 breakfasts (e.g. oatmeal), 3 hot meals (e.g. chilli), 4 soups and 10 bars. The box also contains 10 different (milk)shakes and accessories. Accessories include a detox stick, fruit water or a shake cup.
The last programme lasts for 3 months. It includes the ‘Balance box’ that contains meal replacements for 30 days. These meals have a total 1500 to 2000 calories a day.
The third programme can be followed either separately or at the end of the programme (after you have finished the first two programmes). The idea is that you keep your weight in balance by replacing your normal meals with the meal replacements once or twice a week.
The box contains 6 breakfasts (oatmeal/muesli), 24 (milk) shakes, 10 hot meal bags and 10 bars. The box also contains a shake cup.
In addition to the boxes described above, there is also a 3-day trial package and various 'shake-it' boxes with different meal shakes.

Besides the products from the boxes, you eat vegetables and drink low-calorie drinks (preferably only water, tea and/or coffee).
The FormaFast website mentions a (shake) cup and a microwave as necessities for the diet. The cup is included in the package.
Consult your doctor or dietician before starting this (or any) diet.
Other diets that make use of meal replacements are, for example, the Optavia diet and the Cambridge diet.
