Be aware: this is only the goal of this diet, not necessarily its outcome. Results vary from person to person. Consult your doctor or dietician before starting this (or any other) diet.
The Alizonne Diet (or Alizonne Therapy) was created by Claudia van der Lugt. The therapy consists of a diet, supplements, connective tissue massages and ultrasound therapy. Alizonne is therefore mainly presented as a therapy. This diet is part of the therapy.
On the homepage you can compare the Alizonne diet with other diets.

Alizonne cannot be followed by yourself. In order to follow the therapy, you have to apply to a body which sells the therapy. The idea is that you visit them (e.g. weekly) to undergo the different parts of the therapy.
As part of the therapy, a personal diet plan is drawn up. The diet includes protein shakes (at least 5 per day). You drink these shakes:
An important aspect of the diet is to reduce the feeling of hunger. The diet plan is low in calories and the feeling of hunger you may get as a result of this is fought off by consuming more proteins. This should make you feel full.
Besides protein shakes you eat a lot of fresh salads and vegetables. Carbohydrates and fats are avoided. You are also not allowed to drink alcohol.
If you follow this diet you are advised to take food supplements. These supplements can contain, amongst others, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. This depends on your personal diet plan.
The therapy includes a connective tissue massage, a massage that, among other things, should improve the circulation and elasticity of the skin, according to the inventors of this diet.
If you follow the therapy, you also undergo an ultrasonic therapy. This therapy is also called an ultrasonic cavitation treatment. The therapy can include various techniques aimed at treating cellulite and subcutaneous fat and the idea is that with the ultrasonic therapy fat cells are broken down.
Separate versions of the diet have been devised for people who want to lose little weight and for children. The Alizonne Lite diet focuses on 'contour improvement', i.e. improving the body contours. Alizonne kids is a customised therapy for children.

Depending on the institution where you are following the diet, a plan will be drawn up (after the therapy) to maintain your target weight (and figure). This is sometimes called the stability phase and the maintenance phase. This plan may cover 1-2 years and you may need to return for another appointment.
Other diets that use protein shakes are the Almased diet, the Protislank protein diet and the Two-Shakes-a-Day diet.
You can also look for other high-protein or low-carbohydrate diets.
Consult your doctor or dietician before starting this (or any) diet, especially if you have kidney problems. This diet may not be suitable for people with kidney problems, as it may contain too much protein.

As you see fit
A high-protein diet where you only get to drink 5 shakes in the beginning and then start increasing your diet to a normal diet under supervision. It is important to do this one under supervision because it is a heavy diet and not for everyone to follow due to the increased protein consumption. For permanent weight loss, it is important to learn a new eating pattern and this diet does not offer that.
With the professional help of a dietitian it should be easier to reach your goals. Please contact a dietician in your area or talk to a doctor before starting any diet.
Please take note that most diets do not have a scientific basis.
Consult your doctor or dietician before starting a diet, especially if you have a chronic condition like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, lung disease or kidney disease.
If you think you might have an eating disorder (like anorexia or bulimia), it is important to look for professional help. Contact your (house) doctor or find help elsewhere. Here you can find a list of several websites that can provide (online) help. These sites also provide information for people that know someone with an eating disorder.
